Leah Gottfried
Leah Gottfried is an award-winning writer, director, and actor who brings authentic stories from her life in the Orthodox Jewish community to the screen. She is the creator, director, writer, and star of the acclaimed web series Soon By You, a witty and heartfelt show about Orthodox Jews navigating the NYC dating scene, often described as the "kosher version of Friends."
Her short film The Setup won Best Short at the Washington Jewish Film Festival, with critics praising it as “clever, whimsical, and sneakily poignant.”
Leah is the founder of Dignity Entertainment, a full-service production company dedicated to crafting meaningful visual content. Through Dignity, she writes, directs, and produces music videos, commercials, and feature films.
A leader in her field, Leah was selected for the inaugural Jewish Writer’s Initiative, a year-long screenwriting fellowship led by Crystal City Entertainment. She was also named one of The Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36,” celebrating young Jews influencing change worldwide.
